Hello, Here is the solution to disable Norton 2011 background task or Idle task.
Usually when you watching movies in full screen or playing a game Norton runs background tasks this idle task hogs the CPU's resources.Please follow the procedure given below to stop Idle task and other tasks in other cases
1)Open Norton settings
2)click on Computer settings
3)in this section turn off idle time scan or set it to monthly or quarterly according to your requirements.
4)Now click on Miscellaneous settings
5)in this section turn off Idle Time optimizer and similarly turn off "Full screen Detection".
